Health professionals aim to provide care that is patient-centred and delivered in line with a person’s goals, beliefs and preferences.

Decision Assist in partnership with Cancer Council WA is offering a series of free education sessions which will improve the knowledge, skills and confidence of those working in Primary Care to initiate advance care conversations.

Learning areas include:
• Explain the benefits of Advance Care Plans for people and their families
• Incorporate advance care planning into routine care
• Access information regarding the legislative aspects of Advance Care Directives

Decision Assist: an Australian Government initiative.

This activity has been approved for CPD points in the QI&CPD 2017-2019 triennium by RACGP and ACRRM.

Palliative care education for health professionals, health care workers and palliative care volunteers across WA.

Our events are aimed at increasing knowledge and understanding of palliative care for health professionals caring for any person with a life-limiting illness in all settings.

The education programs are facilitated by project officers in collaboration with expert palliative care clinical providers and health professionals. Tailored education to meet specific requirements is available as we continue to improve and develop our programs to meet the growing demand for palliative and supportive care education.
